FentoMagazine.com welcomes pitches from writers who know their subject and care about helping readers. If you can explain something useful in a clear, honest and original way, we’d like to hear your idea.
Please read these guidelines before you pitch. They cover what we publish, what we expect from contributors and how the process works from first email to publication.
Topics We Want
We publish practical stories across every section of the magazine. Browse the archives below to get a feel for our style, then pitch an angle we haven’t covered yet:
- Digital Lifestyle and Technology: how-to guides, app and gadget advice, online safety and healthier tech habits.
- Health & Wellness: sleep, movement, nutrition and mental well-being, supported by credible sources.
- Travel: trip planning, destination guides, budget tips and lessons learned on the road.
- Money & Finance and Business & Careers: budgeting, saving, job hunting, workplace skills and side projects.
- Fashion & Beauty: realistic style advice, skincare basics and grooming tips.
- Food & Recipes and Home & Living: tested recipes, meal planning, organizing and home improvement ideas.
- Entertainment: thoughtful recommendations and guides across streaming, books, music and games.
What Makes a Great Pitch
- A specific angle: “How to lower your phone bill without switching carriers” is stronger than “Saving money on tech.”
- A clear reader benefit: tell us what readers will be able to do, decide or understand after reading.
- Relevant experience: explain why you’re the right person to write it, through professional background or firsthand experience.
- A fresh idea: search our site first to make sure we haven’t already covered the topic the same way.
Content Standards
Guest posts must meet the same bar as our own articles, as set out in our editorial policy. Every submission must be:
- Original: unpublished anywhere else, including your own blog, and written specifically for us.
- Helpful: focused on real value for readers rather than on promoting a product, service or website.
- Free of plagiarism: we check submissions and decline copied or closely paraphrased work.
- Your own work: we don’t accept spun articles or mass-produced AI text. Tools can help you polish a draft, but the ideas, research and voice must be yours.
- Well sourced: cite reputable sources for facts, statistics and any health or money claims, with links wherever possible.
Formatting Guidelines
- Aim for 1,000 to 2,000 words; the right length is whatever fully answers the reader’s question.
- Use short paragraphs, descriptive subheadings and lists where they help readers scan.
- Write in American English with a warm, clear and conversational tone.
- Include source links within the text and suggest a headline plus a one-sentence summary.
- Share only images you own or have permission to use, with a short caption for each.
- Send your draft as a Google Doc or Microsoft Word file.
What We Don’t Accept
- Articles written mainly to place backlinks or promote a business
- Paid links, hidden links or undisclosed sponsorships
- Content already published elsewhere, in whole or in part
- Spun, scraped or mass-generated AI text
- Gambling, adult content, payday loans or get-rich-quick schemes
- Health or financial claims without credible sources
- Hateful, misleading or defamatory material
How to Pitch
Email your pitch to admin@fentosmagazines.com with the subject line Guest Post Pitch: [Your Working Title]. Please include:
- Your proposed headline and a short summary of the angle
- A brief outline of the main points
- A few lines about you and why you’re qualified to write it
- Links to two or three published writing samples
Pitch the idea first rather than sending a finished article. That way we can shape the angle together before you invest hours in writing.
What Happens Next
We read every pitch and aim to reply within two weeks. If your idea is a good fit, we’ll confirm the angle, agree on a deadline and share any notes before you start writing. If it isn’t the right fit for now, we’ll let you know, and you’re welcome to pitch something new.
After you submit your draft, we may edit it for clarity, accuracy, length and style, and we’ll check significant changes with you before publication. An accepted pitch doesn’t guarantee publication, and our terms and conditions explain how we may use the work you submit. Published guest posts on fentomagazine.com include your byline and a short author bio.
